Andy tried all night to get a kiss from Shaela, finally at the airport as we were dropping him off, she gave hime a kiss, She actuly gave him a whole bunch of them!

The kids had so much fun with him.

Andy had a layover in Va so the kids and I were able to meet him for the first time. It was a great visit. He came around 7pm on Saturday and we had to take him to the airport by 11 am Sunday. It was a short visit but I'm glad we were all able to get together. The kids were sad to see him go.

Duanavan wanted to get Shaela dressed for church on Sunday, this is the wonderful outfit he picked out. (at least he matched the browns) He even put make up on her and did her hair! He's so funny. Lucky for me she got all messy before church so I had to change her!

Shaela is always playing house with anything she has two of. This time she had her two fingers. So I drew little faces on them and she loved it. This was mommy and daddy kissing. She has such an imagination

Duanavan does really good at his tournaments. He loves wrestling, but can't wait for football to start again. Wrestling is such an intense sport. I have never had such an emotional rollercoaster like I do at wrestling tournaments. You see boys cring all the time because they lose. But they feel such accomplishment when they win. It's crazy but I LOVE going to wrestling meets.

Kandrick and I just celebrated our 10 year Anniversary on Feb. 28. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. On Valentine's Day Kandrick made a great dinner for us when he got off of work at 11pm. He is the best.

Some new Stuff for the house

Well when Cathrine moved she had A LOT of stuff she now longer had room for. So we greatly inherited it. This is my new room. I love my new comforter. The ugly orange flowered curtin's where my old ones. I hated them. I love my room now, the pink and green chair match perfectly and the picture too. There is also a gold and green framed mirror that I just have not hung up yet that matches everything. The carpet, and love sac are new and the round table is also new that Lisa gave us. This has made such a big difference. I love all of it

Elijah was in trouble and this is the way I found him. When I woke him up, the first thing he said was " I wasn't sleeping" He's so funny!

Shaela got these new PJ's for Christmas, when I put them on her she lifted the "cape" and said "I'm Superman" Can you tell she has 3 brother's?
Duanavan loves Clothes. He loves to look good. The sweater was a little big but he didn't care.
Shaela loves dresses, This one kept showing her big booty in church.
I finally took the little ones to the park. It has been in the 50's lately, they were very happy.
Isaiah kept running into her new bike with his bike and every time he did, Shaela would have to "fix" her bike.
Shaela got nail polish from Santa, so when I asked her what color she wanted she said all of them. So this was the end result.

Isaiah carries a back pack around everywhere he goes that has some toys in it. Well he left it at a friends house so he didn't have it on Christmas day. So he put all of his new toys in a plastic tote, and pushed or carried it EVERYWHERE he went. Upstairs and then back down, down the hall, in the kitchen, anywhere he went. Then he found my basket and put his favorites in it, and Carried that around. That went on for two days, then we found the back pack. Thank Goodness, the basket was too big!

Christmas day was filled with family, love, putting things together, playing, laughter, basketball (LAKER'S WON!!), SLEEP, and Good bye's. Cathrine and Miguel have now both moved from Virginia. We are so sad. Shaela and Cthrine have such a connection. Cathrine taught her "The Smile" Cathrine and Miguel have the same smile in every picture they are in, and they can hold it forever! Well all I have to say now to Shaela is " Show Teeth" and Shaela smiles Beautifully. I swear Cathrine and Shaela have the same smile. Shaela got the Snow White dress for Christmas and she loves it. She calls her Snow Wipe. The boys love wrestling with Kandrick. They never win but they love it anyways!

Christmas morning

Christmas morning Started at 6 am with Duanavan whispering in my ear " Mom, when are you going to get up so we can open up presents?" So I drug myself out of bed ( did I mention I didn't go to bed until 3:30 that morning?) and took a shower. Anita and Merriam were at our house by 7Am and the kids where dying to get down stairs. I always leave a wrapped book by their room in the morning for each of the kids to help pass the time before we open gifts. So it seemed that by the end of opening up gifts, everyone was happy. I think I was the luckiest this year though. I was given the Camera (Nikon D 40) that I have been wanting really bad. Along with a beautiful vase that Duanavan painted for me, a flat Iron and Boots. Duanavan Loved his Wrestling mask and wrestling match/little wrestlers thing. Shaela loved her Tea set and Bike, Elijah loved his Bakugon set, Isaiah carried a box around with all his treasures, and Kandrick loved his basketball shoes. We had a great morning with our family.

Christmas Eve

Kandrick had to work for Christmas Eve, but we let the kids open their Christmas Eve gifts (always the same thing: PJ's and a homemade pillow case) before he had to work. This year I did not make them PJ pants because Grandma Anita bought them the cutest matching PJ's. I made them blankets too. I was so happy that they liked them. After Kandrick went to work the rest of us went to Lisa's house for a great dinner, and more gift giving. One of Lisa's traditions is to make this dip that my whole family loves. This is the first thing Isaiah goes for when we get there. He LOVES it! Shaela loved her purse that Aunt Cathrine and Uncle Miguel gave her. It was filled with cute little wood things like lipstick and a cell phone and a cute little soft dog. She had to put the lipstick on everyone, even Mazi, Cathrine's dog. She even put the purse on her shoulder like mommy,way cute. She also got a cute Little Einstein Rocket that Isaiah and Shaela both love. Everyone loved the gifts they were given. Kandrick & I was also given a wonderful gift, A very nice vacuum. My carpet looks 10 times better now. Thank you Lisa and Steve! We all had a lot of fun. Shaela also became obsessed with Mazi, I went down stairs and she was putting a gift on the floor in front of Mazi. Then she would talk to her and then pet her, and show her the dog that Aunt Cathrine gave here. Did I mention that Mazi is blind?!? Then we came home and Elijah and Duanavan arranged some of the gifts under the tree, laid out cookies and milk and we tracked Santa on the Internet and Realized He was in NY and that they had better go to bed before he passed them. All around it was a great day.

We were able to actually build a Gingerbread castle this year. we had fun putting it together, they kept adding to it after this was done.

Thanksgiving

This was one of the best Thanksgivings I have had. All the food was great and my brother Paul and his family came up from North Carolina, and Kandrick's mom Anita came over. The kids mainly played games while the adults cooked and watched or played football. I stayed in my sweats all day and loved it.

Almost everyone passed out by 4:00pm. Here are some pictures of a few. I was up and out of the house by 4:50am the next morning for those wonderful sales. I love it!!

Halloween

Shaela was a bumblebee, Isaiah was The Hulk, Duanavan was something he made up, and Elijah was a Ninja. I love Shaela's boots. All the kids looked very cute.

We went to the boy's first Halloween party and they had a blast. I made these cupcakes.

We were out tick or treating and Shaela stopped to say hi to the little man. Well when she was done she turned around to go up the stairs and she tripped on the stairs. She turned and looked at the little man and just cried. The look on her face was like she thought the little guy pushed her. She was terrified after that.
I found these big glow sticks for the kids this year. They loved them. I found swords for the boys and a yellow wand for Shaela. And then I found miniature ones that I put in Shaelas hair and around the boys necks. It was way cute.

Steve and Lisa were able to come to our ward Halloween party. The kids had a lot of fun.

I love Homeschooling my kids. This is our first year and I am defiantly learning how to teach my kids and they are still learning how to learn from me. Every day is different and I still have so much to learn and get better at. But these are just a couple of Field trips we have gone on.
We just recently went to the African art museum and the Asian art museum. The boys couldn't understand why all the African art had Naked people on almost All of them. I tried explaining but I'm not sure if any of it got through to them.

This was our trip to Henricus. It is all about the life of the native Americans and some of the first settlers in Virginia.

Time out for women

I was able to go to Time out for Women this year with Kim, her sister Tara, Lizette, and Lynda. It was in Philly. We had so much fun. This was my first time being away from all my kids for a night sense Elijah was 2 years. We went up on Friday and came home Saturday night.
For lunch we went to this big food mall thing it was packed.

I tried my first ever Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The place I got it from was on the Al Rocker show for the best Philly Cheese Steak. It was good but not what I thought it would be.

On Saturday after the conference we went sight seeing. I love being with Kim, and Tara they crack me up.

The kids love the After Game snack. The two little ones are always dirtier then the boys who play football!
Duanavan is the one in the gray jersey. He lost his game jersey so he had to wear his practice one. Duanavan's team made it to the finals but didn't win. But he is ready for next year. He really loves football
Elijah is number 27 in blue. He had a lot of fun , this is his 2ND year playing and has decided he just wants to do year round basketball next year. He did great
You can't see him very well but the black guy in the back is a professional Football player from the Redskins. I think his name is Stephen Something. One of the parents got him to come visit with the kids and sign footballs for them. It was funny cause my boys were all excited and couldn't wait to tell there friends about it, but when I asked them what his name was they couldn't tell me. They had no clue who he was.

Silly Times

Shaela is so funny, We went to the dollar tree and Shaela dressed her self with fun. She had on 2 purses, a hat 2 babies, a Shaw and a baton in her hand. She walked around that store like she was the Queen!
She ca be very scary too! She had to try the pumpkin mask on Too

Shaela found this little wolf that had red paint on his mouth. She kept saying "dog hurt, need band-aid" and she had a ban-aid in her hand. It was why too big and wrapped all around the whole head, but it was cute.

She fell a sleep on the couch and this is the way I found her.

This was my baby doll bed set when I was little and Shaela loves it. She was pretending to be a sleep.

She loves to put bowls on her head, even when it has food in it. Lucky for me this time it didn't have food in it.
We went out for ice cream and Isaiah ate his and then helped me finish mine. He loved the little cone he made.

My mom bought her some gloves and a coat. I tried them on one night and she would not take them off. She just walked a round the house all cozy and warm!
Kandrick taped the boys up one day and they thought it was the funniest thing.
Isaiah is obsessed with birthdays right now and so he hung Duanavan's stuffed animals on his bed and said it was for his birthday party (which is in May). He was so proud. Shaela helped too!

My Mom's visit

My kids love when they get to see grandma. They love and miss her so much.
We went on a walk/bike ride, when all of a sudden These huge dark clouds came and it started to poor down on us. Isaiah was so cold on the run home that Grandma gave him her coat.
This is Isaiah's birthday party. Grandma Anita, Grandma K, and My mom were all able to make it.
My mom and I were finally able to visit the D.C Temple. We always want to go when she comes it just never happens.
But when we got there we realized that the Temple was closed for the Women's Conference. So we went through the Visitor's Center instead and walked the grounds of the Temple. Dark clouds came again and we ran in the rain back to the car!
I loved spending this time with my mom!
We went to the bounce house for a birthday party and we all had fun.
And of course watched Movies

We had a chance to go to a home-schooling event in Colonial Williamsburg. We a lot of fun and learned a lot.

When we went to the water park (see post below) kandrick learned a new tick (flipping over the board) , along with Elijah and Isaiah. Elijah learned how to go back wards and Isaiah learns to hold his breath under water for a while.

Happy Independence Day ( I know I'm Late)

So this first picture was taken at a different time but I figured it went with the theme of Independence Day
The kids and I got up and made it to the Parade by 8:20 am so we could get a good seat, the parade started at 10. They had a lot of fun getting a whole bunch of flags, political fans, balloons, and beach balls.
And of course Shaela eating Chips.

This is the Old Fashioned Fireman's Day, they do it every year after the parade. All the fire stations compete in different water competitions. They had to spray 3 different targets (which were of course right in front of the crowd. The boys had fun

I accidentally left this one out so I had to add it in so know it is out of order, but this cavern is most known for the MOST BACON looking things (what ever they are called) It was funny to see all this Bacon every where. And the guide was very proud of all the bacon!
Our family took a little trip to some caverns and then to a water park. It was a lot of fun.
The pictures really do not give the caverns justice, they are beautiful in person

We came home from the pool one day and Shaela dumped some cereal on the floor, So she said" I clean it" and she grabbed the broom and started sweeping. She's such a good little helper.

Isaiah Put Shaela's bathing suit cover on and started dancing around, it was so funny.

Kandrick was washing the car and so Shaela and Isaiah had to wash their wagon too.

We were at the pool and Isaiah found this bug in the bathroom. He had to bring it out to show daddy.

Father's Day

For father's day we got Kandrick a new Laker's jersey and a Laker's hat, then we brought him balloons to work because he had to work at 12:00 that day. Isaiah let the balloons go right when we got home. So they lasted us less then 1 hour but at least the kids enjoyed bringing them to Kandrick.

Mudd time

So we had this big thunder/lightning/rain storm come through. I let the kids go out and play and of course they went straight for the mud puddles. Well after Shaela got all wet she started just taking all her clothes off. Well when she finally had everything off, she squatted and peed. I had to force her to put on a skirt after that. And Isaiah had so much fun just squishing his toes in this mud hole.

So I was out on the porch when Shaela came out side with me. She had a piece of string in her hair so I grabbed it out and along came a handful of hair with it. So I calmed down and then asked Isaiah if he cut her hair. He said no Shaela did it. Well after I thought about it for a minute and realized that in the spot that it was cut would be pretty hard for her to cut herself, I asked him again he told me again that Shaela did it. Well I asked him again and he finally told me "Mom, Shaela kept turning off the TV!" Man right when her hair finally starts to grow!!!!

Isaiah surprises Me!

Okay, so I have been in a really bad mood lately, and it seems like all Isaiah wants to eat lately is "Egg in a Whole" which is bread with a hole cut out of it with an egg in the middle. But he wants this every day 3 times a day. And he wants it with out the bread. (so basically he wants a fried egg) So I was in one of my bad moods and he starts whining saying he wants one. So I say with all my frustration "Fine, But you make it! I'm not doing it!" So He just shrugged his shoulders and said " Okay" So he gets the egg, cracks it, puts it in the pan and then grabs the spatula. Then Duanavan walks in the kitchen and Isaiah says, " Duanavan will you turn on the stove please?" So Duanavan turns on the stove and asked Isaiah if he could help stir them. So they finished the eggs together. Isaiah new when they were done and got his plate out and dished them up all be himself. Duanavan makes eggs all the time but I didn't know Isaiah could do it too. He is growing up very fast!

Worms

Isaiah and I were out side mowing the lawn and he wanted me to dig for worms . He was scared to hold them at first because one Pooed on Elijah before. Anyway, he ended up having a blast with the 4 that I found.. He would put them on the napkin and when they would start to wiggle off, he would shake them back in the middle. He had so much fun.

Rain, Thunder, And Lightning storm

We had a big storm come through so the boys had to go play in it. They started with the towels and ended with just being soaked. When it calmed down and was just sprinkling, Shaela had to be brave too and went out in the Rain too. Isaiah was not going out though!

Potty Training Time

So I am finally potty training Shaela. She will be 2 in July so I figured that she hated me putting diapers on her and fought me almost every time, I might as well start. After the first day of trying to pee standing up like her brothers do, She's doing pretty good . She usually has about 2 accidents a day. I just love her butt in Panties. So today she had just gotten out of the shower and was on the bed with Kandrick, when she started to hold her legs together and said "Pee Daddy Pee". Kandrick was so happy.

Great Wolf lodge

So this was one crazy Bunch. I think the Hotel staff were glad to see us go. LOL This was a really fun trip. Braeden and Isaiah loved the wave pool and Hot tub. I have more pictures of everyone but I'm just waiting for Valerie to make me a cd of them. (Hint hint Valerie)

So Paul comes and showes us this massive Eye brow hair, It had to of been at least an inch long. It was just poking strait out. So Valerie did the honors of pulling it out.

My mom and sister (Valerie ) and her family are in town. We have been having alot of fun together. It is very Crazy with 5 adults, and 7 kids in my Town house but it is definantly fun and I know all the kids had a blast.

We have gone to the Air and space museum, Natural History Museum, Hershey Park, All the monuments in DC, The White house, Great wolf lodge, Lots and lots of Shopping for Valerie because in Germany there is no shopping . And we can't forget all the Wii time for the Kids.

So on to some explanatian for the pictures. Duanavan and Zoie made an experiment with some nastiness in the kitchen, it smelled really bad and had lots of clumps in it. So Valerie said she would pay anyone $20 to take one bite. Of coarse Duanavan said sure I'll do it. Well he put it in his mouth gargled it, swished it around and then went to swallow it, it didn't go very far. He lost, but it was very funny. In the picture of Shaela, she was eating chips with grandma and then she started hiding behind the chips. She cracks me up.

American Gladiators

So I watched American Gladiators with the kids one time and now they are always playing it with each other. They are so funny to watch. They even had to write on their shirts and come up with names for themselves. Elijah is Demon, Duanavan is Deather, And Isaiah is always Cody. Boys are so funny!!!!

Yep, That's flour! I had a big tub of flour (lucky for the boys it was not full just about 1/4 full) that Duanavan had accidently tipped it over. Well Isaiah thought it would be funny to throw a little in Duanavan's face. Well Duanavan couldn't let him get away with that , and then of course Elijah had to get in the mix and poor Shaela was just the innocent bystander who got it too! So I call my mom because I was not very happy and I was not going to yell, So she says, JOIN THEM! Then when you are done tell them not to do it agian with out asking. What's done is done you can't get the flour back. Thanks mom I got through it with out yelling. But I did make them clean it up and pay me for the flour.

Our Beloved Prophet

I just got news of our beloved President Hinkley. It's a better-sweet moment. He was a wonderful Prophet of God, and will be missed by many. I am thankful for his sweet, loving example. If only we could each accomplish a small portion of what he did in his 97 years. I am so blessed to have the knowledge that families can be together forever. Its amazing to think he is now with his bride and the ones he loves so much. God be with you till we meet again.

Pinewood Derby

This is Elijah's first Pine wood Derby. He had a lot of fun making his car. The missionary's came over and helped him melt the lead in the bottom to make it heavier. All the kids liked the torch they used. He got the award for "happiest" car. He won 1 out of 3 races. There is so much to learn with the first child. I new nothing about building a car before this, and with a little help from some friends and staying up late at night, Elijah and I created a master piece that did not fall apart on the track :) We had a lot of fun together .

Visit to Paul's House

I was able do visit Paul ( My Brother) and his family back in December & I was just looking back at the photo's and thought I would share some. We were able to go to an aquarium, and an old battle ship, and go last minute Christmas shopping until 3:00 Am. We had a lot of fun. My kids loved being down in North Carolina with their cousins.

The Great Wolf Lodge

So for a Christmas gift from Catherine, Miguel, Lisa and Steve, We got a 2 night stay at The Great Wolf Lodge. It was a blast! It snowed our first morning there, nothing stuck but it was coming down big and fast. The boy's favorite part was the indoor water park. They have this big bucket of water on the top of this big tree house that dumps a whole bunch of water down to the bottom. The boys would lay on the ground and let it dump right on them. It also has this huge water slide that 4 people can ride on. That was one of my favorite ones. We spent most of the time at the water park. But you can also buy these wands that open magic treasure boxes and things like that all around the lodge, so we did that too. We played games at night and drank hot chocolate and just had so much fun.

Let it Snow

The weather said cloudy, then all of a sudden Big snow flakes came pouring down. It was coming down so fast and such big flakes and it was very dark in the sky. We drove to the store really quick and when we came out, The sun was out and it quit snowing. We were in the store about 20 minutes. It only snowed for about 40 minutes. The weather is so weird out here. But Isaiah wanted to play in it before it melted so him and I went out and played for a little while. He loves the snow!

Duanavan Loses His First Tooth

Duanavan has had his 1st loose tooth for a long time, He wanted to pull it out at school so he could get the tooth necklace that they give out. But the other tooth poked his little head though and has been out for a couple days so I got it really loose for him and he said "okay, now I can wait and pull it out tomorrow at school." So I said I would wait one more day but if it was not out by the time school was out then I as going to pull it. Well he went to bed and a few minutes later I heard," MY TOOTH CAME OUT" He was very excited. He had to call daddy at work and tell him. Isaiah has never seen a loose tooth before so Duanavan would let him wiggle it. Isaiah thought it was so funny. And I think the picture with Elijah is so funny. What's up with the nostrils man?

SunBeam & Nursery

Isaiah Becomes a sun beam and Shaela is at the age where she gets to go to nursery. Isaiah had a hard time at first but loves it now. Shaela was ready a couple months ago but you know how that goes. I was so glad that she was finally able to go to nursury because with our new church time at 11:00 it is right in the middle of her nap time.

The boys wanted to stay up all night and they did. I think it was 1:30 am by the time they went to sleep. The last I heard from Duanavan was I'm not tired though. 5 Min. later He was out!

Ringing in the new year. Kandrick had to work but the kids and had chocolate Fondu, and watched Hary Potter. I fell asleep around 11:30pm thinking the kids would wake me up, but I woke up to Kandrick calling me at 12:05. Elijah and Duanavan were awake playing their DS's together. It was a pretty fun night.
